Michael Ciociola, Worship & Fine Arts Pastor

Michael David Ciociola has been working for Calvary Christian Center since 1992, and has been on staff since 1997.  In 1997, he received his ministry license from Capital Bible College in Sacramento, California.  Before attending CBC, he attended St. Petersburg Community College in Florida.

At Calvary, Pastor Michael directs the annual Memorial Day Tribute, A Grateful Nation Remembers. Attended by over 4,000 veterans, it is proclaimed as the largest gathering for veterans on the west coast during the Memorial Day weekend.

He also directs the widely attended annual Christmas play as well as various illustrated sermons and dramatic events throughout the year.  Some of his favorite illustrated sermons include, "The Atonement” and "Hell – Don’t Go There.”  Aside from leading worship during Sunday services, he also oversees the Fine Arts Department including: Raise the Praise Adult Choir, Youth Choir, Orchestra, Vocal Ensemble, and various Worship Team Outreaches.

One of the highlights of his ministry is the annual music service "Gifts of Worship,” typically scheduled just after the Christmas holiday season each year.  During this musical evening, the congregation is ushered into an entire service dedicated to thanking the Lord for all his blessings during the past year while devoting our lives to him for the next year.

Pastor Michael met his wife, Kjerstin, through her father, Col. Jeffrey O’Leary, a featured speaker for their 2002 "A Grateful Nation Remembers.”  While visiting with the O’Learys in Washington, D.C. in July of 2002, he met Kjerstin for the first time.  In February of 2004, they were married at Calvary Christian Center with the entire church attending.
